Paravoice is provided "as is". We do our best, we ship fast, we fix bugs, but we don't promise perfect transcription, perfect uptime, or protection against data loss. If a transcription goes wrong inside an important email, that's on you to review before sending.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Paravoice and its authors are not liable for any damages arising from its use — lost data, lost time, lost friends because of a funny autocorrect, whatever.

You own the audio you record and the text Paravoice produces from it. Paravoice makes no claim to your content — we don't even see it.
The Paravoice app binary, icon, and branding are copyright the authors. The underlying Whisper model is from OpenAI and covered by its own license terms. The Swift packages we depend on (WhisperKit, etc.) retain their respective licenses.
We may push updates that change behavior, add or remove features, or modify these terms. When terms change, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page changes. We'll highlight material changes in the changelog.
You're free to stay on an older version by disabling auto-update in Settings → Updates. Older versions may stop working when Apple changes system APIs, but that's on Apple, not us.
You can stop using Paravoice at any time. Drag it to the Trash. There's nothing else we can "terminate" because there's no account, no subscription, no cloud side.
We reserve the right to discontinue the app — if that ever happens, we'll open-source what's practical so existing installs keep working.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States. Disputes that can't be resolved amicably go to binding arbitration, with the exception of small-claims matters.
